Primary Backup (Automatic)

Your primary backups are automatically stored in a safe location on your computer:

/opt/render/project/src/backups
This location is managed automatically and always available for backups.
Secondary Backup (Recommended)

Add a secondary backup location for extra protection. We recommend using:

  • External drive (USB drive, external SSD)
  • Cloud-synced folder (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox)
  • Network drive (NAS, shared folder)
Leave blank to disable secondary backups. When set, database backups will be copied here automatically.

How Backup Protection Works
When You Backup:
  1. Backup is saved to primary location (automatic)
  2. Copy is made to secondary location (if configured)
  3. Both locations have identical backups
If You Need to Restore:
  1. Reinstall the app (if needed)
  2. Go to Backups page
  3. Your backups will be available from either location
Tip: For best protection, use a secondary location on a different physical drive than your C: drive.
